"Loved staying at Hotel Spaander! The pool is great. Breakfast was a delight. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a bike ride (rental) to Marken as well. Volendam is a beautiful place."

"heb afgesproken met vrienden voor eten en drinken in Alkmaar en woon zelf ver weg. Dus 1 nacht verbleven. Dat is prima gegaan. Leuk is dat je nog duidelijk sporen ziet van de vorige bestemming van het gebouw. (Gevangenis) Alkmaar is trouwens ook wel een mooie stad om te bezoeken met traditionele ..."

"Very central location - only downside is that rooms around the central ventilation shaft hear all the cover stations in the other rooms. The earplugs provided are very welcome. The breakfast (extra) is substantial. Would chose boiled egg and not scrambled to accompany another time!"
