"I liked the friendly and helpful staff, nice furnishings in the apartments and adequately stocked with all the necessities for such accommodation! The bed was comfortable with very nice bed linen! Like the proximity to Sandton City and Mandela Sq! All in all I thought the Raphael was very good value for money! I did not like the view from my room.. faced the wall (but at least it wasn’t concrete and plain, but would have preferred a city view! "

"From the moment we stepped inside until the moment we left, we had an enjoyable experience. 24h coffee, lattes, tea and hot chocolate, was served. Breakfast was included and one had a variety to choose from. The rooms were neat and comfortable with a front desk that one could phone for any reason. The gardens are truly a delight and we felt very spoiled."

"A little underwhelming, it's a nice enough hotel, but it's a little dated, the bed was very squeaky and not very large and we weren't impressed with the way we were greeted. First time travelling with our 4 month old so I forgot to put them on the reservation (that's on me for sure) but rather than an understanding, accommodating welcome, we were greeted with an dismissive, accusatory tone that I would not expect from a 5 star establishment that cost over R2000/night. They didn't set up a cot or...
