"A stunning location nestled within mountain ranges, in the Bavarian Alps that straddles the border between Germany and Austria. It felt like we were staying in a very beautiful and cosy cottage. The hotel owner Josef Posch and his family have run the business for over two hundred years, they also run a busy and popular outdoor activity centre on the premise. "The best hotel I have stayed in for a long time. A large, spotless, comfortable, quiet room and bathroom, a huge range at the breakfast buffet and a beautiful location near Salzburg. The only complaints were the reluctance of the host to carry our small luggage up 2 flights of stairs, climbing the 2 flights of stairs when disabled and the dirty mark on one hand towel. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives. You need a car. "
