"Beautiful hotel, we were there for NYE, food was excellent however, the bar was understaffed and there were no chairs for people to sit after dinner, no staff seem to have the common sense to get chairs for people v odd was there was lots of space for them, a v expensive night away to have no seat seems unbelievable really. "Everything about Tankardstown is top notch, from the bubbly welcome you receive to every interaction with the most accommodating staff. We loved our two-level, lovely decorated cottage room that included a small kitchen. If you can get a room, don't hesitate to book. You'll love it. Next time I return I'm staying as long as I can!"

However, it has felt like a 3 star poorly maintained airbnb house that has been let for a long time and not been refreshed in a long time. - the doonas and pillows are old and oily and sweaty smelling.
