"First time at a Pousada, though have stayed in Paradores in Spain. This is a very comfortable sprawling historic hotel with absolutely top-notch and genuinely friendly service, especially at meal times. Excellent food and lots of space inside the room and in common areas. The view over the city is lovely. Visitors need to know that it’s a pretty quick trip to the town and surrounding areas, but by no means a short walk. That makes this Pousada feel like a welcome getaway."

"From the moment we arrived, we felt and saw the wow factor. The hotel is beautiful, the bedrooms are large and the bathrooms are large as well. The breakfast was delicious with so many choices. Our dinner menu was excellent and the food was delicious. The wines were top notch, we absolutely loved all the wines on offer. Everything was perfect.
