"We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice and clean, and the bar area was enjoyable. Restaurant had great food. Get the Mozambique shrimp! Great views of Table Mountain from our room. Not much immediately next to the hotel but a short walk to the V&A Wharf and there is a water taxi directly in back to take you there. Also UBER came quickly."

"Very friendly check in at the hotel - gave us a full tour and showed us the key features in the room. Excellent club lounge with drinks and nibbles during happy hour. Comfortable and well maintained. "

"Pretty much standard HIE facility. Excellent service and a very good room with excellent WIFI and cable service. The only complaint was a very slight cigarette smell and shower stall sliding door was in need of repair. Breakfast was the usual standard fare for HIE. The area is not as nice as the waterfront district, but is getting better."

"Our stay at Grand Daddy was very nice. We loved the camper trailer, a fun and different kind of hotel room. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, everything clean and neat. We can strongly recommend a stay here. "

"Hotel was very central, the market was right next door, view from room. Bathroom very small, but hotel was good overall. A fridge would have been nice.. Breakfast excellent but DON'T have dinner in the hotel restaurant. Very little choice and what we had was awful. Tasteless and cold. The chef could not have cared less when we complained.The staff were helpful and friendly and parking outside, taken care of."

"Traveled Solo, 3 nights. The breakfast cost extra, but good value for the money. There are nice canal views from the restaurant. Also had dinner at the restaurant 1 night. Good quality food, at reasonable prices. The room has lots of room with a fridge, there is a convenience store a few blocks away. Can buy snacks, sandwiches, drinks, at a very reasonable price. Took 2 tours booked by the hotel. Informative, nice air conditioned vans, also a good value, I would definitely book...

"Beautiful new property. Location excellent to explore market and muslim section but evening can look bit scary as there are homeless around. I wouldn’t mind staying rather here and take Uber around that is about $4 to go anywhere around town and be in nice property than to be at Waterfront that is located close to the restaurants but is very wore down. Loved this hotel"

"Hotel Verde was friendly and welcoming and wasn’t a generic airport hotel. Great food, spa, and a lovely small walking trail. Staff was great and breakfast expansive."

"The property is old! Needs new furniture. Staff is nice and polite, especially the restaurants. The food was excellent, although choice is limited. The travel desk is money hungry. They want to charge R280 for the same adapter for around R50 in the U.S. And most hotels don’t demand that you buy the adapter, either. They charge a trip for $10.0 US that Uber charged around $7.00 US. In addition, one needs a reservation in advance."
