"Pros: Proper hotel, comfortable beds, spacious apartments and hallways. We reserved two 2 bedroom apartments for two weeks. Overall comfortable. Food was good. Cons: 1) frustrating in room dining experiences. If you order 3 coffees and breakfast, you will get: 2.5 coffees, 6 mugs, 1 plate, 1 napkin, 6 jams, 2 pieces of toast. All this after 1 hour. Very little care is given by the in room dining staff to think consciously about what is being ordered and what is needed. Next 2) your room keys...

"I really was impressed with the JW. The rooms were new, beds comfortable, service was great in most areas like the breakfast area and the concierge. Very helpful and smooth business stay. Just the bar was lacking in service. Great place to stay in Kolkata. 25 min from the airport. My driver Ranjun was great and drove me around to various appointments for the day. He was excellent."

"LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay there again when we are next in Kolkata."

"I hardly ever write reviews but I felt like I had to for the Raajkutir! Such an absolute gem of a hotel. Unremarkable from the outside, but once you enter the grounds are so beautiful and traditional in style, you can’t quite believe that the hustle and bustle of Kolkata is just the other side of the wall. The rooms are STUNNING, the food delicious, and the staff are falling over themselves to help you. I wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Raajkutir! "
