"The perfect hotel on the border of the black forest, stunning scenery, great spa facilities, lovely staff. Easy to access, good roads and parking for car enthusiasts with low cars! Clean rooms with most things you would need (no coffee/tea facilities which was the only negative!). We will definitely be back!"

"This hotel was awesome. We were only here one night on a trip through the Black Forest, but it was great. It's cute and quaint and quiet. The dinner in the hotel is truly one of the best I have ever had and I've traveled a lot of Europe. The menu is set, but I ate many things I wouldn't normally and loved every one of them. "First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. Hotels.com boasted "4 restaurants" while in actuality there was only one restaurant with 4 different sitting areas with the same menu and you could not choose in which area you wished to sit. The older staff was also not at all friendly and acted a bit annoyed with every question or request. There were also loud noises with the creaking of the wood steps and hallways."
