"Hotel IJ is a gem of a property deep in Basque country. Set in a gorgeous rural environment atop a small village and surrounded by hills and farms, it is the perfect country getaway. The building is as stunning as the photographs and the rooms have an elegant\ vintage charm to them. "Great last minute place to stay for San Fermin. Bus stop right out front was able to take us to city center. Only downfall is it’s pretty far from restaurants and eateries but overall property was clean, decent gym, and very friendly hosts. "

"2nd time staying here. Great little apartment. Right on Yamaguchi grounds. I had the courtyard side where it’s lined with restaurants. Excellent choices and food. Can get loud if there is someone yelling , but it’s never for long. I do wish it was more soundproof though."

"Nice hotel, a bit unusual in its design. All the rooms appear to be at the top two floors. It has a nice sitting area on the first floor. Opposite the hotel are some beautiful old buildings and a little stream. Its walking distance into to town center and the railway station. The town has a very relaxed atmosphere. "
