"I personally enjoyed our 1 night stay. It is centrally located clean and safe. The staff were great and very professional. Easy walk to the port area. "Nice Hotel and friendly staff. Experience is definitely weather dependant so check it out before leaving. Not much to do around in winter (3 hours of 'day' light). Recommended, but make sure you check availability of activities beforehand (reservations should be made well in advance). One (big) hour drive drive from Tromso, so make sure you hire a good car and are comfortable driving on icy roads in winter. If you do all the planning in advance and check weather reports, it should be a nice spot...
