"Great value in a nice little town. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great access to two national parks: Jostedalsbreen and Jotunheimen. The hotel is the only "action" in town, that is restaurant and "bar" (really the front desk, which in addition to alcohol also served as the local ice cream parlor). "

"We loved our stay here. The staff were wonderful and made it feel like home away from home. The food was fabulous. This is a very small town but the location is amazing and the salmon museum is worth the time. "

"Beautiful lakeside setting we wish we could have enjoyed longer. Staff member reached out to us when we were running late from a mountain hike and made arrival easy for us. Friendly cat brought us a "gift" after we arrived and kept the vermin away while we slept. Most excellent breakfast in the morning was a classic spread of Scandinavian "bread," which is bread, eggs, cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, cereal, and much more, all serviced in the dining room with a view of the lake."
