"A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"Stayed just one night, also had drinks at the pub, easy access to Sherborne town centre, wheres plenty of shops, bars, cafes,Restaurants. Free parking if you are staying in hotel, for 24 hours. Register your car at reception. Had bath&shower which im happy to have. Clean,and very white bedding and towels, hangers, tea making facilities. . Comfortable bed. Staff i came into contact with were very nice. Would stay again next time im visiting friends in Sherborne. "

"Hotel has a nice atmosphere, is in a great location as it is overlooking the ocean with easy access to the sandy beaches. I had a room with a balcony which was lovely watching the boats go by & having a cuppa in the morning. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Shower head was too heavy for the holder & it kept drooping down but i made do. Was happy tea/coffee was available in the room & a hairdryer & desk fan.
