"Wonderful staff who make you feel at home. Local place in an amazing former Ambassador's house with history and culture. Bit out of the way but quiet and peaceful with a lovely garden and pool. Not for the business traveler who wants a 24 hour service, gym and bar, but great for couples, small family, and end of long trip repose. Moroccan food is fantastic!"

"This Riad is a beautiful traditional Moroccan home with guest rooms located off open air courtyards that are weatherproof but airy. The extended family who run the business is lovely and although their English is somewhat limited, they always figured out what I was asking and made every effort to assist. For instance, I was able to access the kitchen to use their kettle and get ice from the freezer. The location is connected to the Medina and adjacent to the large Mosque. The only sound that...

"Riads are tough to review. Parking is always horrendous - don’t believe them when they say “offsite parking available.” This is a cop out - you will be finding street parking and making a deal with a total stranger who could care less about the Riad. And they will try to scam you for a higher rate. This is well decorated and the staff is excellent. But the rooms are weirdly laid out. See some pictures. This includes floor level windows that open to the center courtyard etc. and uneven floors....

"We arrived to the property at 2:30, with a 3:00 check-in. Our room was not ready, which we expected, so we went out for half an hour. When we return a little after 3pm they said our room would not be ready for another 40 minutes or more. We were tired and really wanted to freshen up. The staff were unapologetic (an apology and making the customer feel like they are the priority goes a long way) and made us almost feel like we were imposing expecting the room to be ready on time. "This property was our favorite after traveling around the world for a year! There's beauty everywhere - lush gardens (and peacocks), authentic Moroccan crafts, carefully-curated art on the walls, and delicious dishes in the restaurant. Before our first night of sleep, we decided to extend our stay another day. The staff is attentive and friendly. The only very minor suggestion would be for them to move the spa out of the basement or perhaps offer massages outdoors somewhere."
