"We had a very comfortable stay. Our room was warm and looked newly decorated and very well equipped.. The bedding and bathroom were very clean and staff were lovely. The breakfasts were wonderful and cooked beautifully. A 15min walk into town for us seniors. Would recommend this establishment. thank you"

"Was a nice room. But wow was it roasting hot. We could find anywhere of turning the heating down or off so had a very hot night, even with fans on. The toilet however had no heating so was the opposite and freezing. Nice to have our own little room but think it was too pricey, compared to the many other hotels we stay in for major race events. Breakfast was toast, yogurts or 3 choices of cereal, nothing for vegetarians and not really a continental as offered. "

"I went to Diss to see friends & colleagues. On arrival no one was there to meet me as I had arrived early. There was no way of contacting the proprietor. They were on holiday, their adult daughter & son in law were taking care of bookings/stays. I had to wait for them to come home from work. The son in law was the first to arrive and was friendly & apologetic. The daughter arrived and she was equally lovely. The room was so nice and comfortable. I had a fantastic sleep & enjoyed my stay. "Very welcoming & friendly staff, clean room & comfortable bed, breakfast was excellent with a choice of menu. My only concern was our window would Not stay open & we were very hot during the night although a fan was in the room could not sleep with it on, In the morning very little hot water pressure, this could be the someone else had the hot water running at the same time, these were very small negatives but would definitely stay here again "

"Shingle Cottage is lovely, it felt stylish and cosy all at the same time. It’s in a rural location, perfect for country walks and exploring the nearby towns and villages. We couldn’t have wanted for a nicer place to stay. "
