"Great place to stay in Taiyuan. All the rooms are on the upper floors of a tower block - ours had a great view over the busy city to a lake and distant mountains (when the smog cleared!) The facilities of the hotel are top class and there's an excellent Chinese restaurant - great choice of delicious food at reasonable prices. On the other hand the breakfast wasn't particularly good value."

"Hotel too old. Not well kept at all. Bathroom not in good condition. Our booking was for 2 person with breakfast; however, when checking in we were told breakfast was only for one guest, have to pay an extra CNY 48 for the second guest. Good that we didn't pay cause the breakfast was not good."

"Very good hotel. Spacious room with good in-room facilities e.g. kettle, safe, cable TV (mainly Chinese programs), toiletries, bath robes, slippers. Excellent WiFi. Location is good - lots of eateries, banks, bus stops. Well know locally and cab drivers know it as 政协宾馆. Good varieties in breakfast (mainly Chinese food). Staff courteous, professional and offer good tour suggestions but most speaks only Chinese. Left luggage free of charge. Good lobby for resting after check out and before...
