"This is a nice hotel that is a 5 minute walk to the old city. We paid extra for a room with a kitchenette which was convenient for keeping our breakfast things, making coffee and keeping our beers cold. There is a grocery store on the same road as the hotel, on the way to the old city. There is also free parking in a lot 2 blocks behind the hotel. It backs onto the castle grounds. "Yep excellent hotel. Every aspect. Room is ultra modern and comfortable. Food was ridiculously good and excellent value. Staff always friendly even when the language was a bit of a barrier I have to return in a month and will be disappointed if I cannot get back in. "

"This is a no frills place to stay. That said, the staff are lovely, breakfast is nice and very good value. Our room smelt heavily of cigarettes, so we had to have the balcony doors open all night to clear it. The shower head in the bathroom was broken so it sprayed water at the ceiling and there were dead flies. That said it was functional and ok for what it is. Wouldn’t stop me going there again as a stop over."

"We have stayed here several times as it is a perfect dog friendly hotel. We pay for a room with a patio which is great for the dogs. The area is ideal for walkers and the scenery is spectacular. The town of Torla is unique with beautiful buildings, well worth exploring."

"Amazing one night stay at Hotel Badain! The family that runs the hotel was so welcoming and kind, and we loved the homey feel of the hotel. Great place for a short stay to hike/explore nature in the area. "
