"Car parking poor. The car park was full and the overflow arrangement with the local railway station is not user friendly. It took 30 mins to exit car park with hotel issued tickets which fail to raise exit barrier. Separately, wifi not accessible . Not acceptable in today’s age. Hotel layout weird and signage to some rooms disappears long before you’re close to room. I would not return to this hotel."

"Hosted group of 11 before a barge cruise. Excellent staff, dinner worthy of Michelin star and comfy rooms, all in an old monastery perched on a hill with scenic views. But the best part was the staff who helped us transfer to our barge during demonstrations and strikes when no taxis or other transport was available. Kudos to the staff at Hotel Sauvage."
