"This hotel is very convenient for Briare train station with excellent trains into Paris daily. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds are lovely, with lots of parkland and trees."

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

"Lady’s at the reception were very friendly and helpful. One of them was making some joke and we could laugh together. I believe a little of French language would help."

"We stayed one night on the way to the south of France. Hotel was perfect for a stopover. Very clean with lovely staff. Rooms are functional but bed was comfy and shower was hot. Excellent breakfast. We drove into Nevers and walked along the river. Filled with petrol at the local supermarket and ate at a pizza restaurant just down the road. "

"It’s a cute property—small and quaint. The breakfast area is a cute alcove down in a basement whose surroundings look like a cave. Too cute. There’s kinda like a spiraling stairway down and then up again so a person with severe disabilities may not be able to partake in the complimentary breakfast unless someone fixes a plate and takes it upstairs in the lobby area. Did not like that there was no refrigerator in room for my meds and no ice machines. Clerk had to get me a bowl of ice from...

"C’est un endroit fantastique, rénové et décoré avec goût, l’accueil est excellent et le déjeuner offert de très bonne qualité et varié. La chambre est ample et très confortable (literie, meubles, chambre de bain). Le tout est situé dans le magnifique village de Sancerre, qui a aussi une histoire extraordinaire."

"The hotel was OK, but the pictures made the room look larger than it was. Also, there is an additional four euro charge for use of the A/C. We did have a lovely dinner at a Nevers, BOUCHON NIVERNAIS. So, for a stop on the way to Paris, it was OK."
