"We had a lovely staycation at The Nici. The stay surpassed our expectations. Check in was easy, we were given the most beautiful room facing the sea and pool area. It had a lovely comfy new bed, sitting area and well appointed bathroom with bathtub and shower. We were totally blown away by the facilities, the beautifully decorated inside spaces and the dreamy spa with large heated outdoor pool were top notch. "A lovely old property(150 years old) where they have kept some of the original features. I think it is due for an update in a few years but I hope they keep some of the original features. We stayed in the Coastguard cottages which were excellent but connected to the hotel with a covered walkway. The staff were excellent and very obliging. The evening meals were excellent although breakfasts were typical large hotel buffet style.i would still recommend it though."

"I had a nice stay at the ibis styles. I had booked a superior king room and nothing about it was superior. I had two single beds pushed together instead of a king bed. The decor was nice, but it had been decorated poorly. With wallpaper coming off and paint everywhere. The bath didn’t have a plug in it and I asked at reception who said they would bring one and never did. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was good"

"This is not a modern hotel, but in a way the older style architecture and room decoration felt appropriate to the seaside location (almost like you were stepping back in time a little). My room was clean and quite spacious; I was glad I paid for a view of the pier and ferris-wheel; and also pleased that I paid for the inclusion of breakfasts. "Good menu selection in the restaurant available. Service can be a little slower than normal when busy so keep this in mind. Staff were friendly and professional. Pool/sauna/gym facilities really good and well maintained. Overall pleasant stay. "

"Excellent location, within a short stroll of the river, ruins, bars, shops and eateries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We managed to get a free hotel parking space very easily. The only downsides were, our room was next to the lift, so it was noisy as people returned to the hotel in the early hours, plus the pillows were incredibly soft and offered no support at all. That said, we would definitely stay there again!"
