"We really enjoyed our stay at Karl August, visited for my birthday and the hotel left me a pastry in the room which was a lovely touch. Staff were friendly, location was perfect and the rooftop spa was a dream. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!"

"My husband and I are in our 70’s, and made this reservation because the price seemed reasonable. We did not realize that rooms did not have bathrooms en suite, and were quite distressed when we got there and realized our mistake. BUT: we will return, better prepared (bathrobes!) because the place is wonderful. Super clean, new, tasteful decor. Excellent bathrooms.
