"Beautiful room with two balconies and lovely furnishings. The bed was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was cavernous. The hotel is in a wonderfully decorated historic building in the center of town. A perfect place from which to enjoy Santillana Del Mar. The only point against them is that there is no coffee maker or kettle in the room. Parking available in their lot for a small charge. "

"The property is an old mansion turned in the hotel. Location is terrible in the middle of nowhere, the restaurant is nice, downstairs sitting area is nice, but… no elevator, it’s dark to get up the wooden stairs and you have to look for switch to continue the climb. The room is small, sparse and stuffy. No screen on the window , so when we had to open the window in order to breathe, we were bitten by mosquitoes. I didn’t sleep at all. No coffee station or kettle in the room. Wasted money"

"Shocking treatment by both the hotel and hotels.com We were treated with utter contempt by the venue who after much complaining refunded some of our money, very small percentage. Hotels.com also refused to refund the rewards used even though they mis sold the services and standard of the hotel. Hotels.com service even worse than the hotel, as a loyal customer with in excess of 1000 booking over 10 years I am disgusted. Both should be ashamed of themselves "
