"I had a bad experience between the desk staff and Expedia and I believe it's the latter that made it so difficult to work out. This needs to be mentioned because both made it near impossible fix what should have been a simple glitch in the booking website. The hotel needs some minor fixing up like tables and furniture where the finish is rubbing off at the edges and marks on the wall bumpers etc. New carpeting might be needed to be honest. "The property was great, so were the staff! Only issues i had are kind of nit picky. Drippy shower head that soaked the floor if we didnt remember to shut the shower door. Leaky windows (condensation) that was starting to damage the paint on the sill. Melted ice cream in the mini fridge. Side entrances were left unlocked during the day but from 12am to 6am they are locked (cant use your room card to enter the building. Signage on back and side doors really should be there to alert customers....

"Had a wonderful stay, Elizabeth is a fantastic hostess, chef, conversationalist and all around humanitarian. Loved all the extra touches you don't get in a hotel, hot tea, organic apples, exquisite soaps, fine books and chimes from antique clocks.
