Although staff were very friendly, the waiters were absolutely nowhere in terms of other skills - basic waitering and communication skills lacked. Overall, the place lacks refinement and the managers/owners lack attention to detail. No water in the rooms is unacceptable,and then for your own account,where one bottle a day is somewhat standard. The quality of the food was particularly average...

"We were there to play golf and were virtually the only people there which was bizarre but meant we had the course to ourselves which was nice. Excellent course in good condition and was being prepared for a big tournament. Lodges are fine with balcony, people very friendly but menu was restricted in the evening as we were the only guests! Great wildlife on the estate and in the vicinity at Nielsvlei. Only negative was that they did not have a record of our booking - Hotels.com take note!"
