"Hotel, udsigt og restaurant var skønt. Det ville dog have været rart hvis vi fra Hotels.com var blevet informeret om at vi ikke kunne køre til hotellet, men skulle parkere nede i byen og så med svævebanen op som kører sidste gang klokken 18 hver aften, alternativt til den er en gåtur på en time op ad bjerget. Vi lå og kørte rundt i skoven, hvor man ikke må køre, i en time inden nogle vandrere informerede os om at man ikke kan køre til den adresse der står på Hotels.com Ellers var det et dejligt...

"This was our 3rd visit to Torfhaus Resort Hotel. It is our favorite. The location in the Harz Mountains is serene, but also full of possibilities for hiking, biking, and quick travel to picturesque towns. The houses/cabins at the resort are maintained in excellent condition. There is plenty of room for a family. We enjoy sitting on the deck with a meal and looking at the beautiful views of the forest. We accidentally left some belongings at the hotel. The staff was very gracious and...

"Das Hotel war super. Mein Zimmer und das Bad waren geräumig und sauber. Die Rezeption war geschlossen und ich sollte meine Zimmerkarte im Restaurant abholen. Der Herr war vom Gefühl her überfordert und wirkte genervt. Am Morgen das Personal beim Frühstück war ebenfalls freundlich und das Frühstück war Klasse."

"Hotel was fine, but not a great family hotel. We have three kids under 8. Patrons (October) were mostly older German adults. The room was not in great shape. The refrigerator was apparently being defrosted and was leaking all over the floor (with towels). Our room led to what seemed to be an abandoned hallway, but we couldn't lock the door from the inside. That being said, we loved our little hike on the hillside immediately next to the hotel.
