"Lovely Hotel. It was quite expensive for an overnight stay but very comfy beds and great staff. The lady on reception personally escorted us to our room upon arrival and the restaurant staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. Saltburn is lovely and the sea-front is a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is very 'quirky' with it's decor and antiques, but we liked this. There's a lovely outside seating area. "Last minute booking and what a great little find. Room was spacious and beds comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Shower was pretty low pressure but got us all clean and in all we had a great stay. Location is brilliant, 10 mins walk to the beach and 15/20 mins walk into Whitby centre. Only downside is no breakfast available but plenty of places in Whitby for this. "

Slight improvements could be a fridge and dustpan in sheperds hut and a bin in back garden. Thanks for an wonderful weekend."

"Arrived later in the evening, welcome pack was ready for us. Room was small but had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Nice view from seating area in room and in a great location for exploring Whitby. Parking was made easy with a permit which cost £5 for the weekend. We left the car at the hotel for the weekend and walked everywhere. Would recommend this guest house, we had no problems at all during our stay. "

"My top floor room with dormer window had great views out to sea - the payoff being 73 internal stairs in addition to the dozen from street level! I'd previously stayed at this property so was aware of the stairs and the property owner Emma also messaged me at the time of booking to check that there were no mobility issues. After a minor issue around check-in times, I was able to quickly settle in and found my room to be clean and comfortable with good quality bedding and a generous refreshments...
