"What a gem of a place. Beautiful please in a stunning setting. Nothing was too much for the staff here who were always so pleasant and lovely. Food was delicious and the dog loved it. A must place to visit and a must place to stay. "

"Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...

"Accommodation is in well furnished self catering or modern rooms. This is not a hotel. Access and parking is convoluted and is not ideal for those with mobility problems. Rooms are accessed via a staircase. Room to room noise is evident and Saturday night is lively across the road until midnight. Breakfast is served at the 1176 restaurant and is very good with friendly staff and good locally sourced ingredients. There is nearby street parking for blue badge holders but would not recommend...

"Great location near to Aberystwyth and the university. Good sized cottage for 4. Enjoyed the on site pool and hot tub. "

"Lovely room, Decor and a great breakfast too start your day!! My only gripe that we had was that you couldn't turn the heated towel rack off or down...it felt like Hades in there!! Lol"

"Key provided didn’t work in my allocated room so I was allowed to use a different room which turned out to be a flat. Bit of an inconvenience but I probably got a better room for the same price so can’t complain. "

"Can’t really say anything about the accommodation as I ended up staying at another property due to double bookings, however the owner was brilliant and arranged an alternative apartment locally at very short notice and with zero hassle."
