"Totally delightful from start to finish. A great welcome at the front desk, as well as a really helpful member of staff who recalled my phone enquiry from the night before. The room itself was excellent. Not only was it tastefully furnished and decorated, but the bedding invited the best night's sleep I've had in ages. The bathroom was very clean and nicely finished. And best of all, room was really quiet and peaceful. Overall, a total luxury at a competitive and fair price point!"

"The room was good, bed comfortable. The desk staff were good for the most part but the man who checked us in wasn’t particularly clear in his voice. He asked us if we’d booked breakfast - I thought we had. He said it wasn’t showing and asked us to check and come back and let him know. We didn’t come back, of course as 6 floors is a bit far to come down. It was my mistake as my booking seemed to not show the breakfast booking. "Another great stay, really liked the improvements to the reception area, friendly staff, great breakfast and room quiet and comfortable. Only issue has been the TV, which was loosing its connection - not a big problem, but annoying. Will certainly be back! Thank you :-)"

"Requested bed guards and high chair. None provided on arrival. Had to wait an hour for a high chair to arrive once checked in. Next day had to request more towels and glasses as only 2 towels left for family of four, dressed gowns were taken away and not replaced next morning too. Cocktails looked nothing like what we asked for (strawberry daiquiris). Nice clean hotel, over priced and not what I would expect from this chain of hotels and the price we paid for the suite for 2 nights. "

"The hotel in general is very good, at a very convenient location; walking distance to Edinburgh castle and train station. The room is good sized with good facilities, I.e bug TV ,coffee machine etc. The only flaw is that there is a water nosie at all times very disturbing at night otherwise the room is very quiet. "
