"We were initially super excited to come to this hotel after seeing pics and it’s high ratings but when we arrived we noticed immediately that we were a burden. The staff was not as friendly as the other hotels and even though we were the only ones there (slow tourist season) every time I asked for something I was made to feel like I was bothering them despite the fact that I speak and am Italian. "This hotel is very well located on the sea shore near the very heart of Santa Maria Di Castellabate, Campania. It looks nice, though the rooms are not quite as nice as shown in the pictures on its website. It is no longer a ‘luxury’ hotel. The bed linen, headrest, cushions, etc, are tired and well-past their ‘best by’ dates. They need to be replaced. The fridge in our room was very noisy at night. "Nice staff, good pool, opportunity for kayaking and pedalo boats. Nice local area. The loud night time shows could be a problem (9 to 12pm), in this case get one of the huts further up the hill. The phone app is a good idea, but would be fantastic if it was also in other languages (not just Italian). "

"This resort was perfect for our day trip to Pasteum and Pompeii. The room and hotel grounds were immaculate, very pretty. (It reminded us of Palm Springs). The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, definitely not just your basic continental fare.! Our favorite thing was the access to the private beach for watching the sunset. "This hotel is not even close rating 4 stars. It needs a major face lift: mold/dirt on balconies outside, inside the vinyl furniture is torn or has holes in many places and housekeeping took our extra pillows saying we were not allowed to have them! In our first room, the AC did not work at all and shower was terrible. Staff WAS very helpful and easily gave us another room. The AC in the second room at least worked though not well at all. It was always warm in the room. After the second morning...
