"Beautiful luxurious hotel facing the harbour. Room had great sea view but huge cruise ships dock right in front of hotel so view partially obscured when ships are in. Room very clean but there were ugly stains on the carpet where someone had spilled something - carpet should have been professionally cleaned, seeing as this is a high-end hotel and stains were unsightly. " Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "

"My family and I stayed here because we were taking a cruise out of Trieste. The hotel was clean and very modern (I’m guessing recently updated). The staff were very friendly and several eateries are within walking distance. The cruise terminal is also within walking distance from the hotel so no need for a cab. It’s a short ride from the Trieste airport maybe 20/25 minutes at the cost at the time was about $85 Euros. "

"This property was very nice and clean and the view was amazing. But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros. "Beautiful hotel. This hotel is from another era but completely renovated and impeccably maintained. Beautiful property, photos probably don’t do it justice. Spa is also very, very nice. Breakfast buffet was also incredible and included with the room. Views on the outdoor veranda are beautiful too. Do yourself a favor and stay here. The surrounding area is also quite beautiful. Lots of upscale shopping and restaurants. "

"Das Hotel ist in einem super schönen Zustand und sehr sauber. Leider sind die Betten sehr hart im Zimmer und das Essen ist leider eine Katastrophe für ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Es gibt Buffet, aber das ist ganz spartanisch angerichtet und hat irgendwie null Geschmack, auch der Kaffee aus der Maschine ist grauenvoll (wir haben jeden Tag einen Frühstückskaffee bei der Hotelbar getrunken, der war sehr lecker). Bis aufs Essen und den harten Betten, war es trotzdem ein schöner Aufenthalt. "

"Our suite was very roomy, extremely well supplied and the hotel is in a excellent location. The only issue is the confusion on check in, which is not at the Palace Suite but at the Continentale Hotel nearby. That hotel is very nice, has an excellent lounge and restaurant and would be the better choice for short stay visitors to Trieste. "
