"The place was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was good however, we were given a room that had no working phone even though we booked months in advance. The food tasted great but sometimes the dinner was cold! The noise from the renovations was distracting and the closed off parts of the resort were an inconvenience as we were not able to fully enjoy the property. The staff however was superb!"

"I stayed in a bungalow, which was very spacious and comfortable. I had a kitchen area, with most amenities. The bed was very comfortable, and was nice to have a mosquito net. Also had a bench and a table in the lounge area, which was useful. The owner of the property was really nice and friendly and very helpful. She even arrange a bicycle for me to use during my stay, which was a great way of getting around. The breakfast was a bit light, and could have had more choices. Also, the wi-fi was not...

"Expedia said flights included in the price, booked two flights, hotel from 12/26/17 to 1/02/2018, only trouble there was a third flight required at a cost of $360US not include in the price, yet it said flights included,. That is where the trouble began. We couuld not get to the Hotel as booked, arrived at 7:10 at night, no transportation, no hotel that night, stayed at the Airport in Zanzibar overnight, yet booked/confirmation at Pemba Lodge for the 26th of December. "If You are looking for an American/European resort this place May disappoint you. When I travel I like authentic local places. This place is totally Africa. Breakfast was modest and great. The food to order from the kitchen was fresh and very reasonably priced. The bring the food to you in front of your bungalow. Security was good. The highlight of my entire trip was swimming with the turtles that you can do for free if you stay here. Very close to beach and local Zoo."
