"The hotel is a great destination for couples or adults. The swimming pool and spa areas are not suitable for children but wonderful for adults. Everything is very clean and well looked after. We stayed in one of the south-facing rooms (last minute booking) in the older part of the hotel, the rooms was comfortably furnished and a good size. "The schloss complex has been converted imaginatively and tastefully into a well-equipped hotel. The reception and restaurant staff were most helpful and courteous and helped to make our stay very enjoyable."

"We booked 3 rooms with air-conditioning during heatwave for multiple days. Upon arrival there was no airco. They offered us to book elsewhere at 9pm. No properties within driving distance w airco. Shower did not drain. Would not recommend. Expedia needs to be more accurate with hotel details so others don't have a similar experience."

"We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"
