But if you are just in Trieste overnight to catch a cruise you would be better staying in Trieste as this place is 20-30 minutes away from cruise port. Also the train drop off is a 20 minute walk down steep hill and stairs to get to hotel. There were no cabs in sight. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. A cab to terminal costs about 30 euros. We were there on the off season in October and all local restaurants in area were...

"Das Hotel ist in einem super schönen Zustand und sehr sauber. Leider sind die Betten sehr hart im Zimmer und das Essen ist leider eine Katastrophe für ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Es gibt Buffet, aber das ist ganz spartanisch angerichtet und hat irgendwie null Geschmack, auch der Kaffee aus der Maschine ist grauenvoll (wir haben jeden Tag einen Frühstückskaffee bei der Hotelbar getrunken, der war sehr lecker). Bis aufs Essen und den harten Betten, war es trotzdem ein schöner Aufenthalt. "

"Our suite was very roomy, extremely well supplied and the hotel is in a excellent location. The only issue is the confusion on check in, which is not at the Palace Suite but at the Continentale Hotel nearby. That hotel is very nice, has an excellent lounge and restaurant and would be the better choice for short stay visitors to Trieste. "

"The staff was lovely and breakfast beautiful but not anything hot. Just cold hard boiled eggs. Would have likes a hot breakfast but what was there was delicious. Rooms were small but clean. Showers waaaaay too small. Cruise ship shower is bigger. "

"My wife and I stayed only one night but it was a very nice place , area is very quiet and clean , lots of things within walking distance , trieste airport is very close under 10 min drive "

"Had city facing room, which actually had a partial sea view. Nice hotel, a little dated with darker wood finish but good size room with tall windows. Bed comfortable, safe provided, fridge but no tea/coffee making facility. Good breakfast. Hotel is about a 15 min walk from bus station. We were there towards end of season so hotel quiet on check in but got a little busier. Enjoyed stay."
