Hraniční zámeček

4.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (21)
"Fantastic hotel and staff! The entire place was super clean and well kept. The room had good ammenities like shampoo, conditioner, coffee, chocolate. Beds were comfortable. The pool was nice and clean with drinks served to your chairs. But the biggest plus here was the food, the breakfast buffet was the best we've had in Europe and the dinner (we opted for half-board) was absolutely delicious. It was a short drive tp both Lednice and Voltice for day trips. I would highly recommend staying here."

Learn more about Holíč

Head to sights like Lednice-Valtice Complex as you discover the local area in Holíč.

The original Holíč Castle was constructed in the 11th century, although has been rebuilt and reconstructed several times. It occupied a strategic location between the Moravian and Hungarian empires, and after conversion into a fortress, was important in defending against the Ottoman Empire. It later became a summer residence for the Habsburg family.

It's undergoing a slow process of restoration, and was opened to the public in 2007. There are several rooms belonging to the municipal museum. The fortress site, which is surrounded by water, is quite large and makes for a pleasant walk.
