"The hotel and activities are lovely. There is plenty to fill your time throughout the day. Unfortunately, the biggest downside to this hotel is the food service. Most meals in the Harvest Tavern had extended waits and overpriced for what you got. It seems like it was significantly understaffed and disorganized. Our soup came out and then we had to wait 10 minutes for a spoon. I would definitely return to this hotel, but would try to plan for alternative food options. "

"I really did like staying at the Sunset Hill. It is a beautiful area. We were in the small property next door to the main house. There were just a few minor issues. The room we were staying in was cold. They had a space heater but it really didn't do much. It was a cold few days outside and it is an old house, but upon speaking to a staff person on check-out she mentioned that the heat was probably not turned up enough. "It was only after we arrived at the property we were told that the pool and our jacuzzi were both out of order. We wouldn’t have stayed there had we known before hand. We even ran out of hot water when taking showers at night. It seemed old and in need of many updates and the worst part is the general manager was not helpful at all. I wanted a full refund for showing up to a non functional hotel but the general manager only offered a coupon for a free weekend. It was the WORST experience...

"We were upgraded to the Breton Arms property, which is much nicer than the Lodge. Still way behind the Omni Mount Washington Resort. Dining is very difficult. Reservations need to be made waaay in advance. And there isn’t anywhere else to eat. We had to buy a pizza 30 miles away and take it back to our room, so we could eat at a normal time. "
