"Hotel is in a busy location but is very quiet, staff were excellent and hotel was very clean. Room was a very good standard and had everything I needed. Breakfast was also good, so no complaints. Will stay here again for sure."

"Lovely overnight stay. Delicious dinner in the restaurant and cooked to order breakfast. Room was comfortable and lovely touch having the radio playing as we entered. There is a lovely outdoor seating area but sadly was too chilly, maybe we’ll visit again in the summer."

"Hotel generally fine, though we had a couple of negatives. 1- we chose the hotel in large part to make use of spa facilities, only to find that restricted hours in the holiday season meant this was not useable for us. 2- our room was part of an adjoining pair. At night a very loud couple of young men opened their adjoining door and continued being noisy. Thankfully, when I opened our door and asked them nicely if they could keep it down a bit, they did."

"We stayed two nights at The Marquess of Exeter on our way home from the west country. The room was lovely, very comfortable and clean. We ate there both evenings and the food was excellent. Lyddington is a very pretty little village, we enjoyed walking with our dog around by the church and in the countryside. We requested a downstairs room which had the advantage of doors into the gardens, this was very helpful to take our dog outside. The gardens do need tidying up but I expect they will do...

"This is a perfect hotel. Everything is perfect. Loved the decor, staff, food melts in your mouth. And the housekeepers are amazing, in particular as most of the walks you will take in the area leave you covered in mud. I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything is impeccable."
