"Great location far enough away from Mirissa. Peaceful and welcoming staff. Difficult to find a spot to swim in the ocean but possible to take a dip. Hotel pool wasn’t cleaned early enough for us to swim one morning (not open until after 8). Sri Lankan brekkie available as well as eggs and Gandon’s style, serving sizes were very generous. "

"It's a fabulous place. Beautiful rooms and the pool is fantastic. Breakfast was lovely, a bit fiddly with the coffee machine but no complaints. I was disappointed having arrived at 8.30pm that the 'all day dining' wasn't available. There wasn't any indication of the closing time on the website for evening meal. Had I known I would have eaten on the way. So perhaps make that clear on any booking in future. "

"Very relaxing stay next to the lagoon but also an easy walk to the beach. Only one restaurant was open aged that was on the beach so a bit of a trek when it rained. My room looked out on to a corridor which wasn’t ideal and the sealant around bathroom fittings was black with mildew. But largely these are minor details to a comfortable and relaxing stay at a fair price."

"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. "We were really impressed with the location, and it comes with 3 dogs (which is always s plus!). Sadly, a few things marred the experience. Hot water is rather non existent. You get warm water after running the shower for a long time, which is a terrible waste. The dogs are left out at night and they can bark extensively and no one seems to care. "This hotel is one of a kind, the staff is incredible, the views out of this world! The room was honestly my favourite of any place I’ve stayed in all my travels. Clearly next level design and architecture in a very subtle and tasteful way. The spa treatment was wonderful and the cooking class under the banyan tree was magical.
