"Staff were friendly and helpful. Room overlooked Flagstaff Gardens which was lovely. Convenient for city shopping and Queen Victoria Market. Corridors smelt a bit damp but rooms were comfortable except for worn bath towel which had holes in. Breakfast was adequate but some hot items were cool when we went for breakfast at 8.30. Dinner in restaurant was great and very tasty. Drinks voucher came in handy and house wine more than nice."

"Location ideal, staff fantastic, rooms old but clean. The only negative was that on the hottest two days of the year thus far, the air conditioning broke down. I did ask to have it fixed however they claimed the whole system was broken which on speaking to other guests whose rooms were cold, I had to question. Obviously, not a weekend fix."

"Recently updated the Oaks was a great choice, 24hr reception helped my late arrival after delayed flight. The room was spacious, well appointed and had a comfortable bed. The fridge mini cook-top and microwave helped as I was in town for the week. Will be back. "

"Great location and our room had an amazing view. 10am check out is a little early. 11 would have been better. Blockout curtains and a proper table and chairs would be a great asset to the apartment. "
