"Lovely small hotel in a great location. Receptionist was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Breakfast was a little chaotic which is the only thing that let it down. Selection for continental was limited, no pastries, cheese, cold meat etc, just toast, cereal and canned fruit. You have to decide what you want the night before, yet the waitresses come to your table to take your order in the morning still. "

"Was here for one night for the Bryan Adams gig, this was a lovely guesthouse, the room was small and functional, but nicely appointed. The location near the Hoe was perfect for the gig being just a 15 minute walk away albeit up a very steep hill - though was downhill on the way back! The hosts were lovely and professional, and were all you could want. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning sets you up for the day, would highly recommend. "

"The toilet was on the outside of the room which i was not expecting when i had booked a room with a private bathroom. The shower also steps onto carpet and there is no exhaust fan and no way to open the window which makes room quite humid when trying to straighten hair. Also concerned also the shower had some mould in it. The no exhaust fan with the shower being in the room could lead to mould problems in the future. Otherwise okay"

"Our stay in this 14th century inn was a nice break. The food was good, evening meal and breakfast , great beers and a clean and tidy room. The hosts were excellent very friendly and helpful. If I came to Modbury again I would look stay here again "

"Fantastic stay, our second stay at Fowey Hall and would stay a third time! A shame that our visit this time coincided with some renovation work however the staff were very helpful in minimising the impact of this on us."
