Great customer care provided and above average rooms with excellent breakfast and free parking available. Definitely recommend, very close to town centre yet a quiet, comfortable stay."

"The hotel is a stately home. More like a Manor that is just outside Penpont; Thornhill is just a 5 min drive. It’s located in a gorgeous area surrounded by lovely old oak trees and the Scaur River. Excellent for a good walk. "

"Southpark House is a well run guest house in a fabulous location. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is well maintained and extremely clean. Breakfast is out of this world, freshly cooked and a fantastic selection to choose from. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable and the en-suite was pristine. An absolute joy to stay there. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Dumfries and the surrounding areas."
