Hotel is an older building full of character, near a river. Good breakfast and lovely and warm in all the common areas. "Absolutely amazing stay. We went over New Year with two dogs. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a New Year’s Eve party going on directly below us and we didn’t hear a thing. Ordered room service and the food was sublime. The dog’s had a turn down service with treats in their bowls. Gorgeous hotel. Amazing staff. Great food. Can’t wait to go back. Don’t be put off by the parking. It’s very easy and close to the hotel and very affordable."

On check in we were given a warm greeting at Hettie Bells, where you check-in, (they kindly allow free bag storage before the afternoon check in) and the complimentary homemade cookies were a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated on the cold November day.
