"Check in was quick and efficient. It was nice that I was able to communicate in English . Room and bathroom were a good size and the bed size was a queen as described. The only request would be to have better signage to the entrance elevator for heavy luggage or mobility but maybe this is common in Italy . Cut through the lovely cafe . Breakfast had a nice selection of food and beverages "

Large beautiful room great helpful staffwentoutof way to meet all needs stayed here to be near palace of caserta unfortunately closed on Tuesday. Got a late checkout until 4 no charge. Late flight. Good restaurant nearby"

"This is a beautiful hotel in olive groves. It’s very romantic and the staff go out of their way to help you. Breakfast is a very good buffet and the evening meals are delicious. It wasn’t very busy during the week but got busier at weekends. Easy to catch the train into Naples, about 1 1/4 hours for the airport. lovely area to explore"

"Area around the hotel is a bit run down and industrial. The whole town is attempting a rebound from 19th century glory days and it hasn’t quite succeeded yet. "

"All facilities were closed at the hotel and areas around the hotel were full of broken bricks. The fountain was not working and completely in disarray. Breakfast was really poor. No tea/coffee facility and we had to ask for food to be brought out. This is definitely not a four star hotel. On top of that, when we came back in the evening, there was no one to be found at reception for around an hour!!!!! So anyone could have walked in and around the hotel as they have no security as such, just...

"The Hotel De La Ville Avellino is a good choice if staying in Avellino. A 15 minute walk from Hotel thru the main street and square is easy, with many restaurant choices. Rooms clean, beds firm/ comfortable, bathroom updated -- all workable and fine. AirCond is so-so, but can open windows in cool evenings. Front desk staff very helpful and responsive"

"The property is older and needs some updating and repairs, but the staff was lovely, the food was fine for the price. The bed was okay, but certainly could have used a new mattress and the bed covering was ancient. Nevertheless, the room was a good size, the bathroom was large with a good shower, and it was clean. I would stay here again."

"Picturesque location spoilt by unfinished major construction next door. Pool was very dirty, full of flies and wasps swarming around it. A simple clean up and lick of paint in places at minimal cost would make a huge difference to what felt like a very tired and neglected hotel. We chose not to stay over night and found an alternative hotel due to our disappointment with the pool and outside areas."
