"The room was very large for a hotel in Paris, and an easy walk from Gare de Montparnasse. We reserved a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower, but the outside of the window was so dirty that we felt as though we were viewing it through a dirty cloud. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure, but the tub was slow to drain, the fixture to switch between shower and tub was in disrepair, and the mechanism to drain the bath was completely broken. "Mercure Hotels are one of our favourite chains. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable and the breakfasts are always good quality. The two things I would mention is that both regular milk and non-dairy bottles were filled and refilled without cleaning, so were both sour and the coffee wasn't great quality. It's in a great neighbourhood with lots of amenities and 3 Metro lines. "
