"Overall a very average stay and really not worth the cost. Our room was in desperate need of maintenance. There was terrible dampness and damage to the bathroom cupboards, all the cupboards in the room had not been cleaned which was v unpleasant and the aircon also had issues. Also we were told that breakfast was served at 8am however we were only managing to get breakfast at around 8.40 as staff had not arrived yet and the restaurant wasnt even open yet. We ended up missing our quad biking...

"Staff struggled to speak English. There wasn’t a cook on-staff to cook dinner or breakfast. They come from Nelspruit (1 hour away). The bathroom had no toilet paper. The pool had green slime all through it. The bathroom had excessive mold on the ceilings. The surrounding area was extremely rural and wasn’t a safe feeling. "The manager on duty was in a hurry to go back to to watching his rugby match on arrival. On departure he seemed even more disinterested and could not be bothered to direct me to the restuarant for breakfast. At breakfast found weevils in the cereal. The only redeeming quality of the service at the place was the Bar-keep and the Chef who cooked dinner as well as the cleanliness of the room. "

The only thing we didn't like was the initial drive up to the property but, beyond that, it was a lovely romantic retreat !"
