At 8.30 am we went to the restaurant to have a buffet breakfast as advertised on a board just outside the restaurant . Once inside we were told they were not doing the buffet . We ordered our breakfast inc. iced coffee on the menu but were told she did not know how to make iced coffee . At this point there was only 3 other people in the restaurant. "From checkin, the whole experience was great. Friendly reception, clean facilities, a very quiet area in spite of main road traffic which was never intrusive. The other staff were friendly too but I was particularly impressed by thr restaurant's willingness to provide food with room service. Well done!"

"The Hotel is a bit outdated but they still provided a great service. Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable, which was all I really needed. So if your passing though and need a rest spot this is good. 1min from the local tavern, IGA and Bottle O. "

"We wanted a quiet overnight stay in the countryside close enough to the Wivenhoe Dam. Woodlands is in a unique and delightful setting on the top of a hill. You need to have reasonable walking ability to enjoy the gardens. Because it was a Monday night we travelled about 5 kms to the Sundowner Saloon on the Warrego Highway for dinner. This added to our happy experience. "
