"Kind of expensive but everything was good"

"We stayed two nights in John Day, first night we stayed at Best Western. Big mistake it cost us $$$ more and we had issues; couldn't get hooked up to the internet, the coffee maker in the room didn't work, and the shower was more like a sand blaster than a shower. I didn't need any soap, due to loosing a layer of skin! Save yourself $$$ and a big hassle and stay at the Sunset... You can buy a pretty nice breakfast for $$$ you will save. "

"I was easy to get to, right off the highway and was conveniently located to several places to eat. It made our overnight stay easy!"

"Chill and comfy place to stay for the night. Especially if visiting the fossil beds ! I came with a friend but would feel safe solo too. Owners were super nice ! There’s a bar right next door and a cafe which good drive thru breakfast right down the street within walking. Found a hair in the pillow and a stain on the blanket so only reason it’s not a 5, but it wasn’t a big deal to me personally ! "

"My family and I loved the landscape and serene views. The commute up the mountain to go skiing is better than anywhere else. This will be one of our favorite places for years to come!"

"The house was perfect! Very clean and accommodating, especially having the yard for our pets. The noise of the highway was not an issue and the surroundings was beautiful. We will rent again."
