Great place to stay if you are heading to Herrenchiemsee or Frueninsel (I recommend both!). The cost was lower than staying in Prien. Parking in Gstadt was a short walk to the ferry. Very walkable to the center of the small town, past cows quietly grazing with the mountains in the background. We reserved the suite and it was HUGE! There was a nice little kitchen, we went to the local grocery store and bought food to make our meals. There is also a very nice restaurant on site. "

It’s tight on the actual property but there is parking nearby about .5 miles (10 min walk) free 6p to 9am. You can also ask to rent the car port for 5/ night which I think is good at least for your first and last night if you have a lot of luggage , otherwise parking nearby not an issue if their lot...
