"Arrived Sunday afternoon. Welcomed by the multi tasking receptionist. Warm and friendly booked in shown to our room. Old timber beams ,great view of buckfast village. Ample tea coffee etc,compact shower and bathroom. Ideal for our needs, good price and a bar with more types of Gin thans good for you, lovely stay"

"I booked at the last minute via Expedia and selected the breakfast option. Slightly cheaper than the "official" Greene King site. "Everything was v clean. We stayed in the Wotter Room on the second floor. Yes it could all do with a bit of a paint in patches but the room is charming and huge. The view was amazing - we could see the fireworks in Plymouth the first night that we stayed. Had a fab Nepalese curry on Wednesday followed by an Indian pudding which was delicious. Steak on the second night. The hotel is on the edge of Dartmoor but close enough to the local tourist attractions. We will definitely return. "
