"I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. The food was incredible. I felt super safe. I didn’t want to leave. A must visit - and please do as the Sri Lankan people need visitors right now. "

"We really enjoyed our stay, staff were excellent, the food was generally really nice especially the Sri Lankan dishes. The place is very quiet, clean and calm. I highly recommend it for people who are trying to escape the daily rush. However, I advice to search this accommodation thru several different agents, as some of them might offer a very good discounts, which we couldnt get due to the booking with expedia."

"Overall stay was good. However, the bathrooms are visible inside the room. Not recommended for a family to stay inside the room. I kindly suggest to put up curtains or a blurred glass to have privacy. Also, the balconies are connected to each room with a sliding door which is kind of unnecessary i feel. Perfect for a few days of romantic getaway. Sea is swimmable but can be rough, requires caution and would not recommend swimming in the sea for kids.
