"Staff and rooms were excellent - only disappointment for me was no alternative pillows- they were feather filled and to soft for me I prefer a firmer one - also a lot of building work going off nearby which isnt anything to do with the pier house but consequently it looks very untidy and denies access to the pier itself ! "Stayed here for 2 nights along with our 2 dogs. For the price we weren't expecting much, but we were pleasently surprised. Quick check-in staff very friendly, room was a bit dated, but was well looked after, clean and tidy. The bathroom was in good condition and spotlessly clean. Free parking on site is a bonus. Only slight moan is the add on costs for dogs, £8 per dog per night. Now I totally get a cleaning charge as dogs can and do create a bit more mess than 2 adults, however a one of...

"Loads of parking and friendly very comfortable hotel. Rooms large with tea/coffee facilities in room. Bathroom had a large deep bath and a separate shower. Lovely view over the golf course. Reception very friendly but staff in restaurant not fully attentive had had to go and get menus myself even though we had been seated 10 mins earlier. Food itself was fantastic. Morning breakfast staff really attentive and food selections and quality very good. Overall a lovely hotel. "

"It was such a lovely little place to find in Truro and was greeted by a very kind lady who walked me to my room, asked me how my journey was and explained everything I needed. It was as simple as needing to remember to take a set of keys with me when I left. The bedroom was immaculate with fresh linen, two bedside tables with lamps, chairs with a little table and a decent tv! The bed was so comfortable to sleep on and I slept better than I thought! There was little chocolates and fresh towels...

"Perfect place to stay for a romantic visit to Cornwall. Right by the sea and coast path. A traditional English country pub. Excellent food and a very well stocked bar with local beers, wines and spirits. Quaint, clean rooms with all the amenities. Every staff member we encountered was really friendly and helpful.
