"Great hotel, but hard to find after dark. "

"The property and room was exactly as expected, which is rare. The room was comfortable and the location was extremely convenient. Located 1 block from the nearest local rail stop it was a perfect spot to stay due to ease of arrival, travel while in town, and departure. It was a home away from home while I was in Heidelberg and I will stay here again anytime I am in town."

"They should upgrade the hotel with new bed quilts and proper pillows. Though the paid breakfast is a generous variety, they should provide facilities in rooms to make hot drinks. The need to ensure the kettle has enough cable to reach the power supply. The receptionist was friendly and approachable. The hotel is in a handy location for the train station and buses. There are nice walks into the forest. Very limited dining options."

"This is a wonderful, family run hotel. Bed and Breakfast with free car parking. There's a slight incline from the CP to the hotel, so be warned if you are frail. The bedroom we had, included a balcony which over looked the hills behind. There are no coffee/ tea making facilities. But we expected that, as we always bring our own. Bathroom is very clean. Clean towels and shower gel. Comfy bed too. Breakfast is a buffet affair. The dining room, is an ornate baroque style. You would be...

"Family owned and run business, very quaint. Beautiful area with plenty of hiking trails and castles to explore. The hotel is in a little remote town near Heidelberg. We enjoyed our stay."

"Second visit and staff / service were still very friendly and efficient. Food in restaurant was very good, wholesome, traditional and great value, as was its artisan beer. Although room decor a little tired, it was clean and serviced daily. Also found out rooms and restaurant dog friendly. Would definitely book again if staying in the area. "

"The hotel is wonderful, on the outskirts of the forest with easy access to hiking and a playground. Only a 12-minute drive to Heidelberg’s Altstadt, their breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, air conditioning, huge tub and shower in the junior suite, beautiful Biergarten with a playground to occupy the kids....all reasons why we would choose this hotel every time possible when visiting Heidelberg!"
